I woke up today genuinely excited to start weaving ephemera into my journal loom. Gathered a handful of potential bits and started playing. Then I hit a block — stuck on finding the right word to add to a particularly yummy scrap — when my little deck of creative prompts caught my eye, sitting at the edge of the drafting table where it's been ignored for months. Hell, I still haven't even put backs on the cards or laminated them.

I sifted through the deck and realized I couldn't even remember what half the prompts said. But like regular tarot, the magic isn't really in the card — it's in whatever meaning you bring to it. The card I drew happened to be a favorite. I wrote the word it sparked, and wove it right into place.
