Intro
Before We Get Started

I fall off the wagon with my art journal more often than I'd like to admit. The book closes for a few weeks, sometimes longer, and suddenly opening it back up feels like this whole complicated thing. So I don't. And then I'm standing in my studio spinning my wheels, feeling flat, wondering where all my ideas went.

They didn't go anywhere. They just had nowhere to land.

My art journal is my paper brain — the place where everything starts, whether it's a splash of watercolor or a scrap taped in sideways. None of it has to be good. All of it is information. That's why I gave myself 30 days back in July to get back in the book. Not to fill it. Not to finish anything. Just to reconnect.

Thirty days later, here's what I know: showing up messy counts just as much as showing up polished. Some days were pages full of color. Some days were barely more than a sticker. Both counted.

So we're doing 30 more. Same reason — not to fill the book, not to finish anything, just to keep the paper brain open and reachable. If you were with me for the first 30, you already know what this is. If you're just finding this now, that's fine too — there's no catching up required, just the next page.
